WHAT OUR CLIENTS ARE SAYING

Alice & Tango

I find Fetching to be a wonderful bonding experience with my dogs. Through Fetching I have realised how well behaved Tango is, and how quickly she can learn new commands. Ola is a great trainer for the dogs. Thank you Fetching!

Tracy & Hugo

Hugo looks forward to his workout class every week!  Fetching has improved his confidence and manners around other dogs and is a tremendous bonding session for the two of us each week.  It is also helping him fight his battle with the bulge – although he will always protest the wind sprints!

Alice & Tao

Fetching allows me to get my workout in without sacrificing time with my dog, Tao. We get to exercise our bodies and minds together, and leave class with a better bond, re-established obedience rules and mutual respect! The best part is that it challenges and tires Tao out and does the same for me!

Ruth & Lucy

It can be hard being a little dog in a big dog world! When we adopted Lucy, a little Rat Terrier, she was scared of people – especially their feet. Fetching has been great for Lucy’s confidence. She loves the running and the agility exercises, and has gotten more comfortable being near moving feet. The obedience exercises have helped me learn to better communicate with her, so she’s more confident knowing what to do next. My partner loves that Lucy and I come home happy and tired (although a little sweaty)!

Tanya & Eliza Jane, Adriana & Gus

My 13 year old daughter and I brought our two dogs to Fetching hoping to get some basic training for our two dogs, and some exercise for ourselves, but we got so much more than that! Eliza and Gus not only learned essential commands like “leave it” and “stay”, but they both gained confidence by participating and learning agility skills – and they LOVED it! Adriana and I learned how to be effective pack leaders and we’re in better shape for it! It’s a perfect combination for dog owners and it proved to be a great way to bond with my daughter! Thank you Sal, Ola and Betty…you guys rock!!

Fetching is both an excellent idea and an excellent program. We have been attending classes continuously for 8 months and would highly recommend it to people looking to get a good workout and work on obedience with their dog. The personal trainer and dog trainer are very professional and foster a fun and energizing environment that is welcome of all types of dogs and all personal fitness levels. Our dog is crazy about attending and his obedience has improved significantly.

Shana & Cooper

We have very little spare time – so much so I hate to leave the dogs at home alone on our weekends. Fetching gives us a chance to work out with our dogs and for them to learn and practice commands and focus at the same time.

I’m really out of shape and joined Weight Watchers at the same time that I joined Fetching and have now lost 32 pounds. The trainers are tough but not scary or intimidating and the classes are small enough that they can tailor the exercises for every fitness level and give corrections and encouragement along the way. I had a lot of anxiety going into the class (a lifetime of being picked last in gym) but the dogs level the playing field, provide comic relief and break the ice.

I always leave with a smile on my face.

Victoria & CC

I was really excited to sign CC and I up for the Fetching class this spring so that my (very) active dog and I could get some obedience training in along with a good workout. At first CC was nervous of some of the agility stations, but with the help of our awesome trainer, she has been improving every week, building her confidence and is loving running through the tunnel now! I really enjoy being able to get a dynamic workout in after my workday, while making sure that CC gets one too.

Ruth & Gary

As a very senior citizen and unexpected owner of a very energetic Boston Terrier youth: I am so very grateful to you at Fetching for turning my Terror into a unusually well-behaved dog, showing me how to (almost) keep up with him and to maintain his new standards of behaviour. Thank you for turning Gary into a nice dog and for helping me to understand how to do it.

Shauna & Sahara

Hello, my name is Sahara.

I’m the blonde athletic beauty in the picture. My mom is the black lab mix (or so we think because she’s always looking for food) and then there’s my geriatric fluffy-butt brother – Ace.

When we first started Fetching, my mom was a bit chunky and apparently I had an ‘attitude’ problem. (What’s the big fuss over lunging at every human and dog on the street?) It’s now been over a year and even though I haven’t lost my attitude (I call it ‘spirit’) I have agreed to behave politely during obedience training so I can get to my favorite part – the agility course. I like to make my mom run so I try to beat her through the course. It makes up for her cheating when we’re counting bicycle crunches or tuck jumps. She thinks Sal and I don’t know… Really, it isn’t hard to outrun her, but she started getting faster once I made it more fun for her.

I’m a pretty stoic dog, but I do get excited when the training collar comes out and we get into the car on Thursdays. I have to admit, I pace in the car. Mom also has fun talking to the other dog parents and trying to find new ways to outsmart me. I let her think that because that’s how I keep her going to class every week. Got her wrapped around my dew claw… just where I want her.

Gail & Ella

I have participated in a number of Boot camps and have always brought my dog along with me. The sad thing was, she always had to sit on the sidelines watching as I ran about doing physical exercise. Then I found Fetching.

With the help of Ola, the dog trainer and Sal, the owner trainer, Ella and I were ensured a great workout together. Not only did Ella no longer have to sit on the sidelines watching, she was now a real participant. As we walk along the path toward the park where the class takes place, I can hardly contain Ella as she eagerly pulls me toward her new found friends.

Ola is masterful in quickly determining each dog’s strengths and weakness’s and appropriately works with both. Sal is a Personal Trainer who encourages and motivates with a great deal of energy and variety. She manages to get the best performance out of you that you can give.

The agility is an added bonus. Both the dog and owner continue to reap the benefits of the workout, but I know that Ella particularly loves the attention and praise she receives by racing through the Agility Circuit.

By the end of the class, Ella and I are a little more bonded, she is a little more trained, we are both a lot more tired, but more physically fit. It is wonderful to see a group of people with their beloved pets come together to enjoy an hour of fun and fitness.

Ellen & Kiona

Fetching is a great place to go for exercise and dog training combined. Both instructors are amazing and focused both of your needs. They make it really fun and interesting.

I have lost 10 lbs since joining up with Fetching and my dog is now on her best behaviour no matter where we are. The agility at the end of each class for the dogs is great and Kiona loves it. Look at her practicing her jumps!

Jessica & Finnigan

Fetching is something that my dog Finnigan and I looked forward to every week, it’s a program that makes working out fun.

Unlike regular work out programs, at Fetching you’ve got a workout buddy who always wants to go! Try saying you “just don’t feel like it” to those big brown eyes! It’s just not possible.

It’s a great work out for the owner, and a great workout for the dog.

Tom & Zoe

Walking the dog simply wasn’t enough exercise for me (50+ and not as fit as I wanted to be) and Zoe (a very athletic 3 year old bull terrier). Fetching works for us both. Fetching’s agility training provides both a mental and physical challenge for Zoe and the fitness component is starting me back on the path to being in shape.

Janet & Penny

Penny aka “the rocket” and I have attended several courses and I keep coming back because nothing means more to me than the delight I see in her as she runs around meeting the other dogs and flying over the agility course.

To see your dog so happy to be sharing time with you and enjoying the exercises together develops a bond of respect and appreciation for each other. She keeps me laughing at her antics and I keep her mentally engaged so that she will continue to learn.

The more you ask of your dog the more dog you will have in return.

Danielle & Parker

Fetching has been such an incredible bonding experience for my bulldog/pug Parker and I. Before I joined, I was expecting it to be mainly for dogs. Little did I know that by five minutes into each class, I would be pouring sweat and panting! From the intense cardio for me, to the agility and socialization for Parker it has truly been the greatest experience! Parker has learned tons of new commands, made new friends and now has a mommy who can do push ups and squats! I highly recommend Fetching… there is just nothing like it!

Manon & Patsy

It’s loads of fun, my dog has excelled in obedience and agility, her progress makes me proud and I get a fantastic workout from Sal! It’s the best training class for your canine companion and exercise class for you. I’ve made new friends and bonded with some seriously cool dogs! What a great concept – I look forward to every class.

Sandy & Pip Pip

For my New Year’s resolution, I’m making a true effort to get back into shape and I’m dragging my dogs with me!

Fetching is a great work-out alternative for dog-owners as many of us will agree that it is hard to find time to hit the gym and walk the dog, especially after a long day’s of work and in this wintery weather! Well, Fetching lets you do both at the same time – combining an agility and obedience class for dogs with a boot camp class for owners.

I have taken the classes with both my dogs and they love the agility training and I love the obedience part, knowing that my dogs will lie down while I do sit ups. If my dog ever raises his butt off the floor one of the instructors will come by and gently tap him to go back down. We all benefit from the class: I get my workout and the dogs get their obedience training and agility fun.

It’s easy to hibernate, stay home and gain weight during the winter months. A slight weight gain of 2-5 lbs may not be a big deal for us but it could be a huge difference for a dog – greatly affecting their health and energy levels. Fetching is a wonderful alternative, it is indoors and a great way for your dog to stay in shape. After all, we know how hard it is to lose those stubborn 2-5 lbs so it’s even harder for your dog!

Bonnie & Abbey

My dog Abbey is my favourite workout companion.  She is always there for me ~ always ready and willing to pop on that leash and GO!  She does not have any other agendas or excuses.  Fetching is a wonderful program that combines obedience and agility training for your dog and fitness training for yourself.  Sal & Ola make a fabulous team as they compliment one another with their professional knowledge, people/dog skills and positive, insightful energy.  They will keep you smiling and moving in a safe and healthy way.

We use Fetching as a fun, creative way to exercise and to deal with our dogs “behavioural issues”. Our dog Abbey, thrives off this kind of attention, training, exercise and socialization.   It’s a win/win for both of us ~ because she also keeps me motivated and inspired, to KEEP GOING!

Fetching is a GREAT way to bond with your dog AND be healthy.

Give it a try!  You will both be happier at the end of the day because of it.
